نبذة مختصرة
A case of severe diarrhea with devastating effects in a young patient with a head injury is reported. The cause was found to be sorbitol used as an inactive ingredient in a commonly prescribed medication. Sorbitol is present in many prescription and over-the-counter medications and should be considered in the differential diagnosis of patients who present with abdominal complaints.
