All patients would undergo colonoscopy as part of standard care. Patients recruited for this study would have their past medical history, family history, medication history, as well as waist circumference, BMI and blood pressure recorded. All patients would also have blood tests (described earlier) and a subset will undergo Fibroscan.

Development of a risk model for colorectal adenoma or CRC based upon risk factors identified

Number of patients with colorectal adenomas or CRC who have abnormal liver enzymes

Number of patients with colorectal adenomas or CRC who are obese, as measured by BMI or waist circumference

Number of patients with colorectal adenomas or CRC who have abnormal FIB4 score

Phase 1 (12 months): all patients treated with cinacalcet alone; Phase 2 (12 months): all patients treated with cinacalcet plus alendronate

Patients with a diagnosis of Glycogen storage diseases based upon biochemical and/or genetic criteria or profound suspicion for Glycogen storage disease

Für die Entwicklung neuer Biomarker mittels Massenspektrometrie werden 10ml EDTA-Blut und eine Filterkarte mit Trockenblutspots benötigt. Um die korrekte Diagnose für Glykogenosen bei den Patienten zu beweisen, bei denen bis zum Studieneinschluss noch keine genetische Diagnostik vorlag, werden die entsprechenden Sequenzierungen für den Nachweis der Glykogenosen erfolgen.
