Congenital toxoplasmosis is sometimes difficult to diagnose clinically and histologically, since it can present in diversified forms. The present report deals with a rare type of toxoplasma infection that resulted in a stillborn with hydrops fetales and extensive fetal placental calcification. The direct toxoplasma immunofluorescence test was of great value in the diagnosis.
