Copernicia prunifera or the carnaúba palm or carnaubeira palm (Portuguese pronunciation: [kaɦnaˈubɐ]) is a species of palm tree native to northeastern Brazil (mainly the states of Ceará, Piauí, Maranhão, Rio Grande do Norte and Bahia).
