Abstract

A method for orientation of formaldehyde-fixed intestinal tissue from mink puppies (Mustela vision) is described. Sections of the intestine were glued to dehydrated slices of cucumber (Cucumis sativus L. or Cucurbita pepo L.) with egg albumin. This cucumber-intestine unit was processed in a routine way. Embedding in paraplast was facilitated thereby ensuring a correct orientation of the tissue.
