[Meningeal carcinomatosis in cancer of the larynx].

A 57-year-old patient diagnosed as squamous cell carcinoma of the larynx underwent total laryngectomy and homolateral radical neck dissection. Twenty-eight days after an uncomplicated postoperative evolution, he presented headache, lowgrade evening fever, and a neurologic process with involvement at different levels. He quickly worsened and died within 72 hours. The case is analyzed and the literature is reviewed.
