Abstract
I read with great interest the article, "Systematic Review of Recommendations on the Use of Disease-Modifying Antirheumatic Drugs in Patients With Rheumatoid Arthritis and Cancer," written by Lopez-Olivo MA et al (1). The prognosis of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) has improved significantly because of improved diagnostic criteria, drug development and new treatment strategies. However, with the aging of society and improved prognosis, increase in the number of patients with simultaneous cancers will be a major issue in future treatment of RA.
