Xanthotoxin, xanthotoxol and marmesin, three coumarins isolated from Afraegle paniculata, have been treated for anti-inflammatory activity following oral administration. The investigations have shown that xanthotoxol and marmesin are devoid of such activity and that xanthotoxin has some activity.
