- Compare whether treatment with acetyl-L-carnitine hydrochloride vs placebo prevents symptoms of neuropathy as measured by the 11-item neurotoxicity component of the FACT-Taxane Questionnaire at 12 weeks after study registration in women with stage I, II, or IIIA breast cancer
OBJECTIVES:
- To evaluate the tolerability and usefulness of the dietary supplement, L-carnitine L-tartrate, in the prevention of chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy in women with metastatic breast cancer.
