Abstraktne
The characteristic spectra of glutamate dehydrogenase in the endosperm, embryo and pericarp of the developing seed, in the organs of the seedling (scutellum, root, mesocotyle, coleoptyle, leaf and root parenchyma of stem and ear) appear to be due to the differential activity of the genes controlling the enzyme synthesis. The type of spectrum of the initial tissue is preserved in the in vitro culture. The nature of organ specificity is discussed with respect to supposed mechanism of the formation of GDH isozyme spectrum.
