METHODS
A nationwide, population-based, cross-sectional study was conducted in 2002-2015 by using medical data on 600,404 youths during compulsory military service. BMI was measured at age 17 years. Acne was diagnosed by dermatologists. Unadjusted and adjusted odds ratios (aORs) of acne in relation to BMI (stratified into 8 groups) were calculated, with the low-normal group (18.5≤ BMI ≤21.99 kg/m2) serving as the reference.
