OBJECTIVE

To study the chemical constituents from Lamium maculatum var. kansuense.

METHODS

The chemical constituents were isolated and repeatedly purified on silica gel column and the structures were elucidated by the NMR spectra and physico-chemical properties.

RESULTS

Six compounds were obtained and identified as polypodine B (I), 5-OH-8-epiloganin (II), shlanzhiside methyl ester (III), liriodendrin (IV), quercitroside (V), uridine (VI).

CONCLUSIONS

Compound IV was found from genus Lamium for the first time and the rest of the compounds were found from Lamium maculatum var kansuense for the first time.
