Fungal molds and yeasts, an actinomycete, and gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria were tested qualitatively with an antimicrobial substance, here called "Passicol," obtained from Passiflora species. A wide range of organisms were susceptible to Passicol. Some bacteria and a yeast were tested quantitatively by a broth dilution method. Passicol was nontoxic to mice and rabbits.
