A diagnosis of fibroelastosis was made in a 33-week-old fetus, based on the echocardiographic features of a marked impairment of left ventricular contractility and hyperechogenicity of the endocardium. Fibroelastosis was associated with an aortic stenosis. There was no evidence of hydrops fetalis.
