Together with apigenine dimethylether and piperchabamide A, a new amide alkaloid, Kaousine and the Z form of antiepilepsirine were isolated from the aerial part of Piper capense L.f (Piperaceae). Their structures were elucidated by spectrometric methods and their in vitro antiparasitic activities
