概要
Post-stroke depression is a serious complication of ischemic stroke that exerts a negative effect on patient's quality of life, restoration of symptoms and prognosis. The study of efficacy of the drug opra (citalopram) in the treatment of post-stroke depression revealed the improvement in 93.3% of patients. Along with antidepressant action, opra has a marked anxiolytic effect. The drug does not exert a negative influence on daily activities, cognitive functioning and has minimal side-effects.
