These reports suggested that the inhibitory activity of ivermectin nuclear transport may be effective against SARS-CoV-2, since they demonstrate that ivermectin has antiviral action against the clinical isolate of SARS-CoV-2 in vitro, with a single dose capable to control viral replication in 24-48 hours. in vitro

In this group (n = 17), patients will take placebo pills and open flap debridement will be performed to treat residual pockets.

In this group (n = 17), patients will take 3 g of omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids plus 100 mg of aspirin daily supplementation over a period of 180 days and open flap debridement will be performed to treat residual pockets.

Compare the effects of euglycemic/hyperinsulinemic, hyperglycemic/hypoinsulinemic and hyperglycemic/hyperinsulinemic on endothelial reactivity, measured by flow mediated dilation, after ischemia/reperfusion injury assessed at brachial artery.

Compare the effects of euglycemic/hyperinsulinemic, hyperglycemic/hypoinsulinemic and hyperglycemic/hyperinsulinemic on nitric oxide generation before and after ischemia/reperfusion injury assessed at brachial artery.

Patients were given a bolus of eptifibatide (Integrillin; 180µg/kg of body weight) and an intravenous infusion of 2 µg/kg/min followed by acetylsalicylic acid (150mg orally daily until the day of the procedure) and enoxaparin (1mg/kg subcutaneous - with the last dose 12 hours before surgery).

Patients were given placebo infusion (0,9% Natrium Chloride) and an intravenous infusion of 2 µg/kg/min followed by acetylsalicylic acid (150mg orally daily until the day of the procedure) and enoxaparin (1mg/kg subcutaneous - with the last dose 12 hours before surgery).

In the control group patients were given identical doses of acetylsalicylic acid and enoxaparin followed by a placebo infusion of saline in lieu of the GPIIb/IIIa inhibitor.

Placebo/Control Group

In the treatment group patients were given a bolus of eptifibatide (Integrillin; 180µg/kg of body weight) and an intravenous infusion of 2 µg/kg/min followed by acetylsalicylic acid (150mg PO daily until the day of the procedure) and enoxaparin (1mg/kg SC - with the last dose 12 hours before surgery). The minimal and maximal periods of eptifibatide infusion were established at 12 and 48 hours respectively.

MACCE was defined as combined death, nonfatal myocardial infarction, cerebrovascular event (stroke) and the need for re-hospitalization due to recurrent ischemia up to 12 months follow-up
