A patient with angiodysplasia of the stomach and duodenum developed exceptionally severe and protracted gastrointestinal hemorrhage. Bleeding was intensified by a coexistent acquired hemostatic disorder characterized by decreased platelet aggregation with adenosine diphosphate, collagen, epinephrine
