Verbesina encelioides administered to sheep by gavage induced clinical signs of toxicity and pathologic lesions identical to those induced by Galega officinalis. Sheep had compromised respiratory function with shallow, rapid respiration and frothy exudate from the nares. Affected animals necropsied
