Hypoglycaemia is the most frequent acute complication of insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus. The clinical symptoms of insulin-induced hypoglycaemia can be grouped into those attributable to the sympathetic and adrenergic responses, e.g. tremor, pallor, palpitation, sweating, mydriasis
