According to the Rye classification, four subtypes of Hodgkin's disease are distinguished: lymphocytic predominance, nodular sclerosis, mixed cellularity, and lymphocytic depletion type. In this order of array prognosis is increasingly unfavourable. The importance of the diagnostically relevant
