Bellis sylvestris, or the Southern daisy, is a species of the genus Bellis. It is a perennial plant native to central and northern Europe and grows up to fifteen centimetres, or six inches.
The Southern daisy has creeping roots commonly referred to as rhizomes. The plant is composed of tens of hundreds of minuscule flowers known as an inflorescence. The plant bears a fruit called achene.
