The oral-nasal gastric tube includes three side-by-side passages disposed within a single tube. Two of the tubes branch outwardly from the main tube at one end to facilitate the attachment of one of the tubes to a suction attachment and a pressurized air source respectively. The third tube can be left open to the atmosphere to act as a pressure equalizer or can be utilized for the introduction of medicine or medical devices. The tube attached to the suction attachment and the pressure equalizer tube each terminate in a plurality of apertures adjacent the end of the main tube for supplying air to the body cavity as fluids are being drawn out through the suction tube. The tube attached to the pressurized air source terminates in a balloon which extends about the periphery of the main tube at a point spaced from the end of the main tube above the perforations.

The present invention discloses an oral preparation of dyclonine hydrochloride for the endoscopic examination in upper gastrointestinal tract, which has the effects of anesthetization and lubrication, and an oral preparation comprising dyclonine hydrochloride that has the advantages of avoiding foam in the body cavity, preventing vomiting, and offering a clear view. The preparation of the present invention comprises, as main ingredients, 0.2%-3% weight percent of dyclonine hydrochloride, 1%-12% weight percent of polyvinyl alcohol, 1%-10% volume percent of glycerin, 1%-10% volume percent of a defoaming agent, and a balance of a pharmaceutically acceptable adjuvant. The viscosity of the preparation is in a range of 30 to 300 mpas and the pH value is in a range of 2.0 to 8.0.

There are described a simple examination method of infection with Helicobacter pylori possibly presenting in a gastric mucosa, and a device therefor. The examination is conducted by collecting gas in gastric cavity, and measuring mainly ammonia and additionally organic amines which are generated due to activities of the bacilli. The measurement is carried out by leading the gas in gastric cavity into oral cavity by vomiting-reflex, and sucking the gas by a metering suction pump through a gas detection tube to read-out a length of color-changed area in the gas detection tube.
