The invention discloses a method for preparing rapeseed oil by a semi-solid aqueous enzymatic process, belonging to the field of functional foods and health care products. The present invention first prepares a semi-solid rapeseed paste with 3.5-4.5% moisture content, which is hydrolyzed by a mixture of pectinase, cellulase and alkaline protease to extract rapeseed oil. The resulting rapeseed oil contains high levels of active ingredients including totaxin, sterol, phenols and beta-carotene. The rapeseed oil of the invention can be added into animal feeds, which helps to reduce animal blood lipid levels and body weight. It can significantly reduce the contents of total triglyceride, total cholesterol and LDC-C in the blood, and, at the same time, increases the level of HDL-C in the blood. In addition, the rapeseed oil prepared by the present invention can relieve hepatic steatosis in hyperlipemia rats.

The present invention relates to a liposome composition comprising 0.001 to 5% by weight of conjugate of lysophophatidylcholine and chlorin e6, 1 to 10% by weight of sucrose laurate, 0.1 to 5% by weight of sodium stearoyl glutamate, 1 to 10% by weight of PEG-5 rapeseed sterol, 1 to 20% by weight of medium-chain triglyceride, 1 to 10% by weight of vegetable oil, 0.1 to 5% by weight of sodium deoxycholate, 3 to 10% by weight of glycerin and the balance of water, and a skin care composition comprising the same. The liposome composition of the present invention is very effective in the treatment of acne.

The present invention is concerned with an edible plant oils from which saturated fatty acids were removed and manufacturing process thereof. In order to remove saturated fatty acids from the edible plant oils; 1) Saturated and unsaturated fatty acids bound on same triglyceride molecules of edible plant oils were segregated each other as alkylesters of fatty acids by conventional transesterification reaction in which edible plant oils were treated with large excess of absolute C.sub.1.about.C.sub.8 alkanol under the presence of catalytic amount of alkali- or alkali-earth metal-C.sub.1.about.C.sub.8 alkoxide. 2) The alkyl-esters of mixed fatty acids were treated with C.sub.1.about.C.sub.8 alkanol solution of urea to remove the alkylester of saturated fatty acids by conventional fractional crystallization as urea complexes of saturated fatty acid-alkylesters. 3) Finally the resulting alkylesters of unsaturated fatty acids, obtained by removal of saturated fatty acids by urea complexation procedure, was converted to reconstructed triglyceride oil to give edible plant oils completely devoid of saturated fatty acids. This new manufacturing process could be successfully applied to following 22 kinds of edible plant; 1) corn oil, 2) soybean oil, 3) rapeseed oil, 4) grape seed oil, 5) flaxseed oil, 6) sesame oil, 7) olive oil, 8) perilla oil 9) wall nut oil, 10) pine-nut oil, 11) peanuts oil, 12) sunflower oil, 13) safflower oil, 14) cotton seed oil, 15) palm oil, 16) hot pepper oil, 17) rice bran oil, 18) pumpkin oil, 19) green tea seed oil, 20) almond oil, 21) evening primrose oil and 22) hazelnut oil.

Methods of coating the interior surface of a hollow tubular structure, in particular a drinking device, and more particularly a drinking straw, with an edible composition to impart a desirable modification to a beverage that is drunk through the straw. The edible composition comprises an adhering agent and a powdered ingredient coated to the interior surface. Suitable adhering agents include lipids (e.g., soybean oil, corn oil, canola oil, sunflower oil, rapeseed oil, peanut oil, and mixtures thereof), medium chain triglycerides oils, emulsifiers, and mixtures thereof. Suitable powdered ingredients include edible acids, edible bases, sweeteners, flavorings, vitamins, minerals, colorants, sensate agents, carotenoids, antioxidants, polyphenols, phytonutrients, and mixtures thereof. The adhering agent is applied to the interior surface of the straw by any one of a number of methods followed by incorporating the powdered ingredient into the adhering agent layer. The powdered ingredient adheres or sticks to, and is incorporated into, the adhering agent layer. Once the powdered ingredient layer is added, the coated drinking straw is ready for use with a beverage.
